New Features: Water-resistant up to 15 minutes at a depth of 15 feet ( 5 meters) in fresh and salt water. 
 Power supply is maintenance free for the user. No need to observe a battery replacement date, record the number of jumps made, monitor the voltage during the self-test, purchase a battery or have a rigger open or repack the reserve for this reason. No one has to pay attention to the power supply.

Same size as the Expert 1 Pin Cypres 2, but specifically designed for Tandem requirements. It activates at approximately 1900 feet AGL when vertical speed is more than 78 miles per hour. This allows more time for the slower opening of a tandem reserve canopy.

Same size as the Expert 1 Pin Cypres 2, but specifically designed for student requirements. It will activate when the rate of descent exceeds 29mph (13m/sec). The activation altitude, however, is split. In the case of rate of descent being equal to that of freefall, the opening altitude is at approximately 750 ft., as with the Expert Cypres 2. However, should the rate of descent be lower than that of freefall but still above the limit of 29 mph (e.g. with partially opened canopy), then the Student Cypres will activate when the altitude decreases below 1000 ft. AGL.
